GcMAF

I thought this might be helpful for anyone wondering about trying GcMAF injections.
Scott from the BetterHealthGuy.com posted this on facebook today.

"If you are considering GcMAF as recently mentioned by Dr. Klinghardt on the LymeHope.com conference call, please ensure you have your Nagalase levels tested before and during treatment. Also be aware that some patients (around 5%) have a significant inflammatory response that may require other interventions to manage. Thus, while GcMAF may be promising and a good option for some of us, it requires a doctor that is familiar with it to help with the blood testing and support during the 4-6 months of injection therapy. Please discuss with your doctor before trying this on your own."
Learn more about GcMAF at this link.

This is a link I found to a forum post by someone who went to Europe and treated there using GcMAF for XMRV treatment.
GcMAF is said to cost about $400. a month. Someone named Sushi on this forum says people can send her a private message because she pays less for her GcMAF.

Notes From Dr. Klinghardt's Lyme Disease Phone Seminar on Oct 4 2011

Some Notes Taken From  Dr. Klinghardt's Phone On Seminar Oct 4 2011.

I was multi tasking while listening to the call so please don’t shoot me if any of this information is incorrect.

Most of us missed the first 16 minutes of the call due to technical difficulties beyond our control.

This is some of what Dr. Klinghardt discussed.

Lyme disease causes narrowing of the blood vessels.
All the co-infections & Lyme disease hang out mostly in the lining of the blood vessels. A smaller amount hangs out in the connective tissue.

The brain actually shrinks if Lyme disease goes untreated for years and years.

Home & work place conditions need to be fixed first.

EMFs/electromagnetic smog needs to be dealt with.

There should be no cordless phones nor wireless technology in the home.

Turn off all fuses at night in the home for sleeping.

Your home should be as mold free as possible.

Dr. Klinghardt said everyone should do ERMI testing to test your home for mold. You can buy the test from mycometrics.com for around $250 he said and he said everyone should read Surviving Mold a book by Dr. Richie Shoemaker to help with fixing home or work place mold issues. He mentioned a ERMI test score of 2 is not good and everyone he knows who used that test has had a score over 2 so far. If your score is over 2 it will limit your ability to get well.

My two cents on mold. Yes everyone with Lyme disease has had past and or present mold issues they need to work on if they want to get well. I found grapefruit seed extract capsules helpful for mold toxins. You can have mold issues in your home without water damage or signs of mold. Mold often hangs out inside the walls and mold spores occur in the air of all homes even brand new ones. You need to find out what type of mold you have in your home and the levels. I am tired of listening to Lyme patients who tell me they do not have mold in their home. If you want to stay in denial about mold you will stay sick.

Now to get on to the rest of what doctor Klinghardt had to say on the call.

Detoxification he said is very important.

He said biotoxins from the disease are crucial to deal with.
He recommends using the chlorella he offers at http://www.biopureus.com/store.html He said it is the one he trusts and to use it for removing toxins from the body. Personally I have used other chlorella that is more reasonably priced that I like and find helpful.

It is important to kill microbes that are in the system. They communicate with each other and create biofilms. Biofilms are colonies that contain mold & spirochetes & the DNA of worms among other things.

Dr. Klinghardt said there is a recipe for a Lyme cocktail to make on his website. You make it in the blender each morning and it is anti-fungal & anti-virual as well as having other healing properties. He said to ramp up slowly on the “Lyme Cocktail” and to use it daily for a year.

Immune modulation is important to balance out the immune system. He has used various treatments in the past. Now there is a new injectable treatment he likes. It turns on the part of the immune system that has been blinded by microbes. The monthly cost is $400. It is called GcMAF http://www.gcmaf.eu/info/ He recommends doing this treatment after ones deals with environmental mold issues not before. I would love to try these injections. All donations for this treatment will be gladly accepted. My current income of zero does cover this : )

Restoring the damage is the last part of the treatment – he uses a new herbal compound an ayurvedic herb Mimosa pudica for this. It comes in capsules and it can be used against Lyme disease, worms and co-infections. It helps to restore the nervous system. I believe he sells it at at Biopure.

Diet he said is very important He likes the diet by Susan Owen It is a low oxalic diet and helps with inflammation. He said you can google the diet and find it online.  I noticed Greg from Two Frogs Healing Center also thinks this diet is important for Lyme patients.

Headstands he said are important to do for one hour a day. The patient can do a modified one with the use of a chair or a swing. Getting upside down gets rid of brain fog and helps to dilate veins.

Bee venom ointment on the back of the neck helps opens the circulation to the brain and kills the bugs on the back of the neck as well.

Homeopathic witch hazel he uses on everyone. I did not catch what for.

Redroot tincture he said is important for help with the lymph system. I have taken it before. Red root is a Buhner herb and I found it helpful.

Lyme patients have sinus and tonsils that are constantly inflated. He uses neuro therapy injections for these issues and he teaches other practitioners how to do them.

Use electro acupuncture and or muscle testing for deciding what supplements to take.

People who recovered from Lyme he said according to a survey done in the past used energy medicine devices or machines like Rife technology and or used antimicrobials. He prefers to use the mind/brain directly instead of Rife to work on past traumas and family issues. I did not quite understand how he goes about doing this. He said the US government is on a witch hunt lately hunting down the use of energy devices. Maybe that is one reason he recommends the mind?

For people interested in using Rife he said to google Richard Loyd “Who is the master of energy medicine in the USA.”

He recommends a Earthing Pad for sleeping at night from a company called Little Tree yet a friend thinks he said from Small Tree. I believe he said the way to contact this company is to email Littletreegroup@gmail.com if Little Tree does not work try Small Tree. They sell both the cranial electrical stimulation unit he recommends and earthing pads. The cranial electrical stimulation device you use for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 at night.

Also for help with sleep and insomnia he says to take

50 mg of 5-HTP in the morning and 100 mg at bedtime

Tryptophan you can take up to 4 grams before bed

Lithium orotate go from 60 to 100 mg before bed

EMFs create the worst sleep and cause the most Lyme insomnia.

Jaw cavitations can cause issues so must be properly cleaned up. Silver fillings can out gas and move mercury to the brain so all patients must have them removed. Chronic jaw infections must be cleaned up. He recommends this dentist at systemicdentist.com He is good for jaw issues and sees patients in LA and Seattle.

New kinds of spirochetes are found often. There are over 300 sub types of spirochetes. He says it is airborne now and can come from a sneeze and there is no question that Lyme disease is sexually transmitted. He has patients who have passed Lyme disease to their mate. He says Lyme disease can definitely be spread through kissing and definitely through breast milk. The spirochetes are able to move and spread quickly. Our immune system is not prepared for the spirochete.

My personal practitioner believes that Lyme disease can be transmitted sexually. She recommends practicing safe sex so you do not give Lyme disease to your mate and then have it returned to you in a new mutated strain or form. She believes it is difficult to get well that without practicing safe sex.

Homeopathic Belladonna is what Dr. Klinghardt uses for eye issues.

He treats babesia with Liposomal artemesia.

He treats Morgellons just like he treats Lyme disease and then it clears.

Since starting to treat people with GcMAF he stopped using antibiotics in his office because now he no longer has a need for them.

Lyme Disease & Co-infection Testing

I was given unreliable Lyme disease testing more than once while trying to figure out why I was having horrific crippling symptoms like air hunger, nonstop panic attacks, unbelievable runaway anxiety that would not go away, crushing fatigue, an immune system that was not functioning well just to name a few symptoms that were beyond difficult to function with. Unreliable testing along with ignorant medical doctors were the main reasons it took me years to figure out what was causing my symptoms. My doctors were of little help in diagnosing my illness. I went to many different doctors while trying to find out what was wrong with me. I had to suggest to them that they order Lyme disease testing to begin with because they knew very little about the disease & they did not even suspect that I had it.

Unfortunately the current CDC guidelines for the testing diagnosis & treatment of Lyme disease & co-infections are misleading. Many doctors go by the CDC guidelines making testing for Lyme disease like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Due to the misleading guidelines many Lyme patients including myself are sick & suffering for years before they receive a correct diagnosis. Many people are never diagnosed correctly and believe they have Fibro, MS, ALS, Lupus, Chronic Fatigue, EBV or fill in the blank. Often doctors do not know the correct facts about Lyme disease. It is an epidemic yet they tell their patients fables like "No reason to test if you have an attached tick bite because your chances of getting Lyme disease are one in a thousand". WRONG!!!!

Lyme disease diagnosis is a clinical diagnosis which means it should be based on symptoms rather than just test results. You can have Lyme disease & due to a variety of reasons still test negative for the disease.

If you would like to know why you can have Lyme disease yet still test negative for the disease go to this link.

http://www.canlyme.com/seronegreasons.html

If you suspect you have Lyme disease you need to be seen by a Lyme literate doctor often referred to as a LLMD. You need a doctor who sees Lyme patients all day long so he can guide you through the diagnosis process. If you suspect you have Lyme disease do yourself a favor if at all possible & find a LLMD in your area to begin the process. I wasted hundred of dollars on useless doctors & unreliable testing so please don't waste yours. You can contact ILADS.org for a list of doctors or go to the forum on  lymenet.org to the Seeking a Doctor section. The majority of Infectious Disease Society (IDSA) doctors believe "Lyme disease is hard to catch & easy to treat". They also go by the misleading CDC guidelines because the IDSA created the misleading guidelines in the the first place so IDSA doctors would not be very helpful when seeking a correct diagnosis.

If I was trying to help someone who suspected they might have Lyme disease I would tell them to order a test kit from Igenex Lab in Palo Alto, CA.  I would tell them to order the Igenex Western Blot for Lyme disease & also to do the co-infection testing Igenex lab offers as well. Having a LLMD read the test results when they are returned is important. You might test negative for Lyme disease yet have enough suspicious bands that an doctor experienced with Lyme disease would know to retest you. If you have insurance that would cover your testing you could try using MDL a lab in New Jersey for testing. Co-infection testing can be unreliable as well as Lyme disease testing yet it is still important to test for co-infections.

I am not an expert on testing just a patient who has been through the process.

Here is a link to a blog written by a Lyme literate MD on the subject of testing.

My Chanca Piedra Babesia Update

I recently found this link about Chanca Piedra. It mentions it might be a promising herb to take for Lyme disease.

"Researchers have suggested that another promising area for future study would be the use of Chanca Piedra in treatment of Lyme’s Disease. Since syphilis is caused by a spirochete and Chanca Piedra has traditionally been used for this illness, it would be a good study for the epidemic of Lyme’s Disease, which we are experiencing the northeastern United States, since Lyme’s is also caused by a spirochete. Some herbalists have used Chanca Piedra traditionally for gonorrhea and syphilis."

An update about my Babesia ~ Nov. 21, 2010. I wanted to add my health practitioner tested me more than once in the past 6 months for Babesia and she said it had cleared. Maybe that meant it was just hiding out in remission? I need to clarify if she tested me with the use of my DNA or just through energy testing. I suspect it was with the use of my DNA. Babesia tested that it was gone twice and then recently after a bout with the H1N1 flu which helped increase my load of Wild Nile Virus I tested positive again for Babesia. I also had stopped taking Chanca Piedra because I had not been muscle testing to take it anymore. I now want to start taking it again. I have switched to Raintree's Chanca Piedra capsules.

You can find my original blog about taking Chanca Piedra for Babesia here:

Slaying the Babesia Beast with Chanca Piedra

I am dealing with a lingering case of pneumonia right now along with tularemia and environmental mold so I have been rather tired.

I plan to hit the mold in my home soon with remote frequencies once I mail a mold sample I made on a mold plate from Home Depot to my practitioner.

I am currently using homeopathic nosodes (vials) of Borrelia and tapping them into my skin/immune system the same way one would do EFT tapping. I checked with my awesome highly intuitive energy/muscle tester today and she said I still have Lyme disease. Luckily my Lyme load numbers are going down at the moment. I have had them jump back up again when I was recently dealing with a bad respiratory infection.

Today by phone my practitioner said I cleared Babesia. Here is a link to the California Lyme Disease Association’s information on Babesia if you would like more information on the disease.

http://www.lymedisease.org/lyme101/coinfections/babesia.html

My practitioner told me I had cleared babs another time recently so I thought I would have her recheck for me. One can’t be 100% certain with energy testing but she seems to think my babs has cleared. The first time she said it was gone I assumed it was due to the remote frequencies she sends me from her biofeedback machine which she utilizes like a Rife machine. Today she told me “No a herb you were taking made it go away and you have currently run out of the herb”.

This is the same practitioner who has called me up once and said “Look in the bag of supplements on the floor there is something in there you need to take”.

She lives on the opposite side of the country so there is no way she knew I had a bag of supplements on the floor so when this person tells me something I pay attention to what she says. She told one of my friends that she is not psychic just scientific. I think she is extremely tuned in and very psychic and also not someone to toot her own horn which is very refreshing to find in a health practitioner. Nor is she at all judgmental which is also refreshing!

Together we figured out that the herb I had been taking that made my babesia leave town was Chanca Piedra also sometimes referred to as Peruvian Breakstone. As most of you know Babesia is referred to as a co-infection. It often comes as a package deal with Lyme disease. Sort of a two for one gift or three for one or so on.

After you receive a tick bite or horse fly bite, or mosquito bite or fill in the blank bite.. when you come down with Lyme disease babesia very often comes along for the ride along with some other equally lovely cos. Some people believe some of the co-infections can actually be more detrimental than Lyme disease. Bartonella has wrecked havoc in my life so I would agree with that statement.

Someone today referred to babesia as a beast. Any disease that hangs on after thousands of dollars worth of malaria meds and makes you have miserable night sweats among other ghastly disgusting symptoms is a beast in my book.

One of my acupuncturists had started me on Chanca Piedra for general and liver support months ago. I had stopped taking it and then my current health practitioner told me to start taking it again one day when we were muscle testing my different supplements over the phone. I don’t think she is even that familiar with the herb but she said I tested positive to take it. Who knew it would also work on the Babesia Beast?

I had read in the past that some people take Chanca Piedra for Malaria and Babesia is suppose to be helped by Malaria meds or so we are often told. Chanca Piedra helps support the liver, kidneys and gallbladder and is often used for people dealing with Hep C.

I am taking Raintree's Chanca Piedra. I take the capsules but they also make a tincture as well. You can find it in capsule and tincture form. It is famous for helping with kidney and gallbladder stones.

I was taking 2 capsules twice a day and now have been told to take one cap three times a day.

Chanca Piedra has many different exciting healing properties. Here is an article about it.

http://www.wholeworldbotanicals.com/herbal_breakstone

According to the article “These species of Phyllanthus have been proven in scientific research to have antihepatotoxic, antispasmodic, antiviral, bactericidal, febrifugal, and hypoglycemic activity.”

The article also states:

“The most recent research on Break-Stone reveals that its antiviral activity extends to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). A Japanese research group discovered Phyllanthus niruri 's HIV-1 reverse transcriptase inhibition properties in 1992 with a simple water extract of the plant. Bristol-Myers Squibb's Pharmaceutical Research Institute isolated at least one of the constituents in the plant responsible for this activity--a novel compound which they named "niruside" and described in a 1996 study.”

Previously I did many months of Mepron and Malarone which are two costly malaria meds many Lyme literate MDs often prescribe for Babesia yet they did not help me leave babsville completely.

When I was leaving Germany after my infrared light treatment the doctor there energy tested me for Babesia and said I was still testing positive for it. It also showed up in DNA testing since then.

Not only is Chanca Piedra not hard on your liver like some other malaria drugs often prescribed for babs the herb actually supports and nurtures your liver. It is a fraction of the cost of both Mepron and Malarone and Alinia.

Dr. Harris mentions Chanca Piedra in Connie Strasheim’s book Insights into Lyme Disease.

I am hoping some other patients with Babesia will try using Chanca Piedra and will report back with their results.

I like Raintree's quality.

Lyme Disease Coinfections Anxiety & Panic Attacks - Oh My!!!

During my stay in Lymeville and my constant attempted journey out of Lymeville I have had varying degrees of anxiety at times from almost 5 months straight of horrific non stop panic attacks and living hell where I was afraid to leave my home and wanted to jump out of my skin and run down the block to just a slight uneasy feeling.

Before I found a bulls eye rash on my leg many moons ago I never had any major anxiety to speak of. Thanks to ticks and bioweapons that has all changed. Anyone who has Lyme disease co-infections and major neuro symptoms with anxiety and panic attacks knows unfortunately just the kind of horrendous anxiety I am talking about.

I was asked by other people dealing with Lyme disease what supplements have helped me deal with anxiety. To be honest with you at times in the past nothing I tried helped me. Perhaps because my body was so depleted at the time or my neuro symptoms so severe that there was no quick fix or if there was I did not know at the time what would help. I might have been too acidic at the time and did not know it. I was still undiagnosed with Lyme and cos when my anxiety first developed.

Some supplements at different times have helped me so I will list them in the hopes they can help others.

Stress X by Biogenesis

It comes in a blue plastic bottle. Another company makes something with the same name yet their product is different so look for the blue plastic bottle when purchasing. You can find it online. Taking one or two of these capsules sometimes works amazing well to just nip the feeling of anxiety in the bud. You can take it during the day and it won’t knock you out or make you feel sleepy yet two caps at night will help me sleep better often and if I have a cold sometimes I will wake up without the cold symptoms after taking 2 caps. This is the product that I first grab for when feeling the return of anxious feelings.

Ele-Max by Integrative Therapies, Inc.

I was given this supplement by an amazing homeopath/MD. I feel this supplement can and does sometimes improve anxiety and depression. It helps me with improving brain chemistry. It may not work for you over night yet if taken every morning it may help you to improve your brain chemistry in the long run. A good supplement to discuss with your health care practitioner.

I also take various cell salts (mild homeopathic minerals that melt under the tongue in a 6x dosage). You can google biochemic cell salts and read more information about them. There are 12 different types of cells salts in all. Sometimes mag phos helps me with anxiety at other times ferrum phos and sometimes kali phos depending on what mineral my body is low on. Hylands sells a combo of all the soothing cells salts that end in the word phos together in a product called Nerve Tonic. You can also find the same combo of cell salts by Hylands under the name Biochemic Phosphates. I take six tabs of the Nerve Tonic at one time

There is a very good and easy to follow book on cell salts called Natures 12 Magic Healers. This book at times has been my life saver. I have had the same dog eared book for years. I refer to it often and it is like my health bible. My copy is heavily highlighted with many notes scribbled in the back. Weeks ago a fellow Lyme sufferer asked to borrow my copy along with some other books like Healing Lyme. So far have he has refused to return them. You might say he is on a bit of an obnoxious control trip which can’t be good for anyone’s healing. Talk about bad karma it is like stealing a medicine bag from a medicine woman so hey there Mr. Potato Head just keep hanging on to my cell salt book and see what that does for you. As Dr. Phil would say “How is that working out for you?” Of course being a Malibu-ddhist does not make one enlightened over night and Mr. Potato Head grew up in the land of confusion and seems to enjoy parking his arse in that state. Annoying - yep a little!

You might also try experimenting with Rescue Remedy by Bach or other flower essences and see what works for you.

Some people have reported good results by using Kava Kava.

If die off might be causing your anxiety. It can make your pH too acidic which in turn can cause anxiety. Adding six boxes of baking soda to a bath is said to be very helpful or taking a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water to alkalize or taking Alka-Seltzer Gold will do the same thing. Drinking lemon water is said to help with pH balance and a herx as well.

Binders might be helpful as well to try to bind the toxins from the die off out of your body which in turn might lesson your anxiety if it is due to the die off or being too acid rather than alkaline .

Charcoal or green clay are just two of the different binders that might be helpful. You can ask your health care practitioner the best way to take binders and which ones to take for your body and situation. Always take binders at least 2 to 4 hours away from other meds or supplements.

I would love to hear from other people with Lyme & Cos what works for their anxiety.
