Slaying the Babesia Beast with Chanca Piedra

I am dealing with a lingering case of pneumonia right now along with tularemia and environmental mold so I have been rather tired.

I plan to hit the mold in my home soon with remote frequencies once I mail a mold sample I made on a mold plate from Home Depot to my practitioner.

I am currently using homeopathic nosodes (vials) of Borrelia and tapping them into my skin/immune system the same way one would do EFT tapping. I checked with my awesome highly intuitive energy/muscle tester today and she said I still have Lyme disease. Luckily my Lyme load numbers are going down at the moment. I have had them jump back up again when I was recently dealing with a bad respiratory infection.

Today by phone my practitioner said I cleared Babesia. Here is a link to the California Lyme Disease Association’s information on Babesia if you would like more information on the disease.

http://www.lymedisease.org/lyme101/coinfections/babesia.html

My practitioner told me I had cleared babs another time recently so I thought I would have her recheck for me. One can’t be 100% certain with energy testing but she seems to think my babs has cleared. The first time she said it was gone I assumed it was due to the remote frequencies she sends me from her biofeedback machine which she utilizes like a Rife machine. Today she told me “No a herb you were taking made it go away and you have currently run out of the herb”.

This is the same practitioner who has called me up once and said “Look in the bag of supplements on the floor there is something in there you need to take”.

She lives on the opposite side of the country so there is no way she knew I had a bag of supplements on the floor so when this person tells me something I pay attention to what she says. She told one of my friends that she is not psychic just scientific. I think she is extremely tuned in and very psychic and also not someone to toot her own horn which is very refreshing to find in a health practitioner. Nor is she at all judgmental which is also refreshing!

Together we figured out that the herb I had been taking that made my babesia leave town was Chanca Piedra also sometimes referred to as Peruvian Breakstone. As most of you know Babesia is referred to as a co-infection. It often comes as a package deal with Lyme disease. Sort of a two for one gift or three for one or so on.

After you receive a tick bite or horse fly bite, or mosquito bite or fill in the blank bite.. when you come down with Lyme disease babesia very often comes along for the ride along with some other equally lovely cos. Some people believe some of the co-infections can actually be more detrimental than Lyme disease. Bartonella has wrecked havoc in my life so I would agree with that statement.

Someone today referred to babesia as a beast. Any disease that hangs on after thousands of dollars worth of malaria meds and makes you have miserable night sweats among other ghastly disgusting symptoms is a beast in my book.

One of my acupuncturists had started me on Chanca Piedra for general and liver support months ago. I had stopped taking it and then my current health practitioner told me to start taking it again one day when we were muscle testing my different supplements over the phone. I don’t think she is even that familiar with the herb but she said I tested positive to take it. Who knew it would also work on the Babesia Beast?

I had read in the past that some people take Chanca Piedra for Malaria and Babesia is suppose to be helped by Malaria meds or so we are often told. Chanca Piedra helps support the liver, kidneys and gallbladder and is often used for people dealing with Hep C.

I am taking Raintree's Chanca Piedra. I take the capsules but they also make a tincture as well. You can find it in capsule and tincture form. It is famous for helping with kidney and gallbladder stones.

I was taking 2 capsules twice a day and now have been told to take one cap three times a day.

Chanca Piedra has many different exciting healing properties. Here is an article about it.

http://www.wholeworldbotanicals.com/herbal_breakstone

According to the article “These species of Phyllanthus have been proven in scientific research to have antihepatotoxic, antispasmodic, antiviral, bactericidal, febrifugal, and hypoglycemic activity.”

The article also states:

“The most recent research on Break-Stone reveals that its antiviral activity extends to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). A Japanese research group discovered Phyllanthus niruri 's HIV-1 reverse transcriptase inhibition properties in 1992 with a simple water extract of the plant. Bristol-Myers Squibb's Pharmaceutical Research Institute isolated at least one of the constituents in the plant responsible for this activity--a novel compound which they named "niruside" and described in a 1996 study.”

Previously I did many months of Mepron and Malarone which are two costly malaria meds many Lyme literate MDs often prescribe for Babesia yet they did not help me leave babsville completely.

When I was leaving Germany after my infrared light treatment the doctor there energy tested me for Babesia and said I was still testing positive for it. It also showed up in DNA testing since then.

Not only is Chanca Piedra not hard on your liver like some other malaria drugs often prescribed for babs the herb actually supports and nurtures your liver. It is a fraction of the cost of both Mepron and Malarone and Alinia.

Dr. Harris mentions Chanca Piedra in Connie Strasheim’s book Insights into Lyme Disease.

I am hoping some other patients with Babesia will try using Chanca Piedra and will report back with their results.

I recently found this link about Chanca Piedra. It mentions it might be a promising herb to take for Lyme disease.

"Researchers have suggested that another promising area for future study would be the use of Chanca Piedra in treatment of Lyme’s Disease. Since syphilis is caused by a spirochete and Chanca Piedra has traditionally been used for this illness, it would be a good study for the epidemic of Lyme’s Disease, which we are experiencing the northeastern United States, since Lyme’s is also caused by a spirochete. Some herbalists have used Chanca Piedra traditionally for gonorrhea and syphilis."

An update about my Babesia ~ Nov. 21, 2010. I wanted to add my health practitioner tested me more than once in the past 6 months for Babesia and she said it had cleared. Maybe that meant it was just hiding out in remission? I need to clarify if she tested me with the use of my DNA or just through energy testing. I suspect it was with the use of my DNA. Babesia tested that it was gone twice and then recently after a bout with the H1N1 flu which helped increase my load of Wild Nile Virus I tested positive again for Babesia. I also had stopped taking Chanca Piedra because I had not been muscle testing to take it anymore. I now want to start taking it again. I have switched to taking Raintree's Chanca Piedra capsules. I like Raintree's quality.

The Hardest Part Of Being Sick..

Is when you get hit with something else on top of what you already have. The layers are the hard part. Right now I have what seems like a sinus infection, a sore throat, a fever, am spewing colorful mucus and I am coughing like a seal with a nice barking hack that wakes me up when I try and sleep and I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. How is that for a run on sentence?

Lyme disease and co-infections alone and chronic fatigue syndrome are bad enough but when you get hit with a bug you go down fast and don't get up easily... When you live alone you wonder who is going to save you when you run out of paper products and are too sick to cook. Luckily my kind friend who I met in our now defunct local small town Lyme disease support group is going to bring me some paper products tomorrow. Thank God or I really don't know what I would do. Paper towels really don't work for TP or Kleenex.

I really feel like death warmed over and for the last three days have been forced to spend 98% of my time in bed. I know I am living in a rental with a high mold count and am in the process of taking care of the mold not that my landlords are any help they have only been part of the problem by not taking care of links in a timely manner and excuse me if I am playing the victim care for a moment but I am really not feeling well and it is not that easy moving when you don't have an income due to ill health.

Today when I really thought things could not get any worse and was having thoughts about dying from this current virus my landlord started weed whacking - not exactly healing. When he got done with that he then rode around the property on some noisy mower that resembles a tractor making even more noise. We have a giant lawn here so it went on forever or for what seemed like it. Good thing I hate guns and don't keep one. I might have had a hard time deciding if I should shoot the tires out on the mower or myself. When I get super sick I always feel like I will never get well again and like the world is coming to an end.

This disease sucks and people who don't have don't understand. I know people mean well when they say you look good but it is not really that helpful. If you don't have Lyme disease you have no idea what people with Lyme disease go through on a daily basis and how each time we catch a nasty bug that might have you down for two days we go down for eight and wonder if this might be the bug that kills us. We don't have normal immune systems.

What started to really scare me was the fact the practitioner who I am working with did not seem to be answering my desperate pleas for help. Thankfully she got back to me today. Not hearing from her was really adding to my stress level.

Thanks for listening to my whine and rant and I am now heading back to bed.

Lyme Disease Coinfections Anxiety & Panic Attacks - Oh My!!!

During my stay in Lymeville and my constant attempted journey out of Lymeville I have had varying degrees of anxiety at times from almost 5 months straight of horrific non stop panic attacks and living hell where I was afraid to leave my home and wanted to jump out of my skin and run down the block to just a slight uneasy feeling.

Before I found a bulls eye rash on my leg many moons ago I never had any major anxiety to speak of. Thanks to ticks and bioweapons that has all changed. Anyone who has Lyme disease co-infections and major neuro symptoms with anxiety and panic attacks knows unfortunately just the kind of horrendous anxiety I am talking about.

I was asked by other people dealing with Lyme disease what supplements have helped me deal with anxiety. To be honest with you at times in the past nothing I tried helped me. Perhaps because my body was so depleted at the time or my neuro symptoms so severe that there was no quick fix or if there was I did not know at the time what would help. I might have been too acidic at the time and did not know it. I was still undiagnosed with Lyme and cos when my anxiety first developed.

Some supplements at different times have helped me so I will list them in the hopes they can help others.

Stress X by Biogenesis

It comes in a blue plastic bottle. Another company makes something with the same name yet their product is different so look for the blue plastic bottle when purchasing. You can find it online. Taking one or two of these capsules sometimes works amazing well to just nip the feeling of anxiety in the bud. You can take it during the day and it won’t knock you out or make you feel sleepy yet two caps at night will help me sleep better often and if I have a cold sometimes I will wake up without the cold symptoms after taking 2 caps. This is the product that I first grab for when feeling the return of anxious feelings.

Ele-Max by Integrative Therapies, Inc.

I was given this supplement by an amazing homeopath/MD. I feel this supplement can and does sometimes improve anxiety and depression. It helps me with improving brain chemistry. It may not work for you over night yet if taken every morning it may help you to improve your brain chemistry in the long run. A good supplement to discuss with your health care practitioner.

I also take various cell salts (mild homeopathic minerals that melt under the tongue in a 6x dosage). You can google biochemic cell salts and read more information about them. There are 12 different types of cells salts in all. Sometimes mag phos helps me with anxiety at other times ferrum phos and sometimes kali phos depending on what mineral my body is low on. Hylands sells a combo of all the soothing cells salts that end in the word phos together in a product called Nerve Tonic. You can also find the same combo of cell salts by Hylands under the name Biochemic Phosphates. I take six tabs of the Nerve Tonic at one time

There is a very good and easy to follow book on cell salts called Natures 12 Magic Healers. This book at times has been my life saver. I have had the same dog eared book for years. I refer to it often and it is like my health bible. My copy is heavily highlighted with many notes scribbled in the back. Weeks ago a fellow Lyme sufferer asked to borrow my copy along with some other books like Healing Lyme. So far have he has refused to return them. You might say he is on a bit of an obnoxious control trip which can’t be good for anyone’s healing. Talk about bad karma it is like stealing a medicine bag from a medicine woman so hey there Mr. Potato Head just keep hanging on to my cell salt book and see what that does for you. As Dr. Phil would say “How is that working out for you?” Of course being a Malibu-ddhist does not make one enlightened over night and Mr. Potato Head grew up in the land of confusion and seems to enjoy parking his arse in that state. Annoying - yep a little!

You might also try experimenting with Rescue Remedy by Bach or other flower essences and see what works for you.

Some people have reported good results by using Kava Kava.

If die off might be causing your anxiety. It can make your pH too acidic which in turn can cause anxiety. Adding six boxes of baking soda to a bath is said to be very helpful or taking a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water to alkalize or taking Alka-Seltzer Gold will do the same thing. Drinking lemon water is said to help with pH balance and a herx as well.

Binders might be helpful as well to try to bind the toxins from the die off out of your body which in turn might lesson your anxiety if it is due to the die off or being too acid rather than alkaline .

Charcoal or green clay are just two of the different binders that might be helpful. You can ask your health care practitioner the best way to take binders and which ones to take for your body and situation. Always take binders at least 2 to 4 hours away from other meds or supplements.

I would love to hear from other people with Lyme & Cos what works for their anxiety.

I have recently added a donation button to my blog. If you have learned anything from my blog or enjoyed reading my blog & feel so inspired please donate. Any size donation is welcome & can help me with the cost of supplements & will be greatly appreciated. I would love to say I am thriving financially. Instead I will say after going undiagnosed for years & then after having to pay 99% of my costly treatment out of pocket right now any & all donations would be greatly appreciated.

Another super easy way to help me financially is to use my Amazon link when purchasing anything from Amazon. It is located on the upper right hand side of this page. There are no extra charges when you use it. Also please ask your friends & family to use my Amazon link as well. I appreciate your support!!

Lost In The Ozone Again.

It has been a long time since I last blogged. Basically I felt much better after treating with the Bionic 880 in Germany. I came home looking much better or at least that is what people were telling me and then I crashed ten days after arriving home. I did not purchase a Bionic 880 in Germany because I did not have an extra $8,000 to spare. I did like the treatment and protocol in Germany yet it seems that some of the other people who were staying in the guest house when I was in Dobel treating crashed when they arrived home as well. I do not think the Bionic 880 treatment in Germany is a cure for Lyme disease. It is more of a stepping stone to assist one in getting better than a "cure". I did find it helpful and even my Tibetan MD thinks the treatment did knock down my Lyme disease load somewhat.

I thought when I arrived home I could use my chiropractors Bionic 880 to treat with but that turned out to be not as easy as I thought it would be. His office is almost 2 hours away and I did try driving there for awhile to use his Bionic 880 once a month but the treatment did not seem to be as good for some reason as the one in Germany. Maybe because the MD in Germany has "live" nosodes and does detox IVs and ozone IVs afterwards? I never did get a chance when I returned to the USA to treat with my own blood or salvia in a nosode and still would like to do that sometime. When I have some extra money at some point I would like to return to Germany for more treatment if I am not feeling much better by then. Currently I am still dealing with fatigue and lack of stamina. Perhaps at some point I will purchase a PE1 which is said to be like a Bionic 880. The price of the PE1 is much more affordable than the Bionic 880.

I also did 4 ozone IVs this last Feb. along with some detox IV's containing magnesium, bicarbonate of soda and some homeopathics in an attempt to try and duplicate the detox IVs I had received in Germany. The way my ND did the ozone IVs here was different than the doctor did in Germany and I feel the German ozone IVs were more effective.

I do not know for certain why I crashed after returning from Germany. I suspect it could be due to mold in my rental or because I have not treated KPU/HPU yet or perhaps due to the fact that when you leave Germany the MD tells you you still have Lyme disease and co-infections in your body that he has managed to change the frequency of the Lyme disease so it won't bother you and perhaps some cos but if you become stressed the diseases will return. Maybe my disease loads were not knocked down enough and so their levels climbed back up? I felt good on the flight home but a long flight can be stressful and the oxygen levels on flights are not the best. Maybe I crashed on my return for all the the above reasons and perhaps some hidden ones.

Right now I am working with a practitioner who sends me remote frequencies from a biofeedback machine the same way one would from a Rife machine. She utilizes my DNA to do so. She believes the diseases returned because they were not knocked out all the way down to zero. She currently thinks my Babesia is gone. Lets hope so. It is hard for me to actually measure if it is really gone. Hearing it is gone does sound good. Two years of malaria meds did not seem to put a dent in it and it was still active even after my treatment in Germany according to the MD there.

I plan to work on the mold in my home next. My practitioner has had success lately helping other people rid their homes of mold with the use of frequencies after they gave her a mold sample to work with. I am in the process of getting a mold sample to her along with photos she needs of the outside of my apartment. When she did my DNA testing when I first started working with her my environmental mold levels came up as being even more of a issue for my body than even Lyme disease.

I believe as Dr. Klinghardt does that environmental mold is often a big issue for Lyme patients. I have also noticed humans for some reason can't face the fact they have mold issues in their home and often go into denial over mold issues. I have done that myself and find mold hard to deal with. I know I have mold in my rental and have dark and multi colored mold growing on a petri dish right now. Trying to find a mold free well maintained rental in Northern California where there has been no prior water damage is not always easy. Most homes have had some sort of water damage or leak at some point and most rentals in my area are not very new or kept up well. For now I think I will work with the rental I have.

Back Home & Feeling Better!

I did my 6th treatment which I will write more about later. I flew home (11 hours) after an hour Ice train ride to get to the Frankfurt airport. Taking the train to the airport was very easy. Karin Klein the kind and wonderful owner of the guest house in Dobel took me to the train station and made sure I boarded the right train. Both she and my treatment buddy saw me off and I left in tears. I have some very fond memories of Germany. I felt okay on the flight unlike my old sick self that would always start to feel ill from flying even on short flights. Always when I did fly I would be forced to spend the next day in bed. I am feeling good at the moment compared to how I was feeling before Germany. I forgot to take any Melatonin on the flight home and am having jet lag and going to sleep at strange hours and waking up at 3:00 a.m. to start my day.

It feels good to be feeling better and to be home in my own space. I still have more work to do and co-infections to continue to deal with and more detoxing to do. I am happy that my kidney feels more normal at the moment rather than its sometimes burnt out sluggish uncomfortable tight state of feeling before treatment and my digestion improved with Bionic 880 treatment and my fatigue issues have improved some as well. I would not say I am cured but I am feeling better than I was before treatment and I am very grateful and thrilled about my improvements.

I went to a yoga class today at 7:30. a.m. It was too advanced for me so I did not do all of it yet I was happy I could do more of it then right before I left for Germany.

Tomorrow is My Sixth Treatment

On the day of the sixth or last treatment Dr. Woitzel tests the patient to see how well their borellia  load has been reduced with the help of the treatment. I believe he tests the patient with the use of his Bicom 2000. I will find out for sure tomorrow how he does the testing. I am curious to find out if I will be done with my treatment in Germany or if I will need to stay here a bit longer to treat before returning home.

I took a long walk tonight and noticed I had plenty of energy and felt like I could walk forever. Was it just a gorgeous night in the Black Forest or is the treatment giving me added energy or is my thyroid medicine starting to work or all of the above? It will be interesting to see how my energy level is in the next few days to month and to see if I feel this good every day. I don't want to jinx the fact that just maybe I am starting to feel some real improvements.

Soaking & Floating in Bad Wildbad

Palais Thermal – Badepalast is an incredibly beautiful spa found in the heart of the town of Bad Wildbad. The architecture, old hand painted tiles, bath fixtures, various mineral pools, rooms and stained glass windows are so incredibly beautiful and unique that you get the feeling that you are in a special timeless healing sanctuary.

Unfortunately we found the staff not exactly helpful friendly or healing. We were removed from the sauna for the crime of wearing our bathing suits. We did not know we were breaking any rules because the front desk had only told us clothing was optional. An old man went and told a staff member about our crime of harboring swimsuits. The staff member came and told us we had to get out of the sauna because “Rules are rules”. It is still worth spending a relaxing afternoon there soaking in the various sized ornate pools. The saunas are also super relaxing and they use different aromatherapy oils in the different saunas.

Vital Therme: Thermal Spa

http://www.badwildbad.eu/index.cfm?fuseaction=spas&rubrik=thermalspa

Vital Therme is my favorite place in Bad Wildbad to go to float and soak in the mineral pools because the views of the mountains are incredible and the atmosphere is much mellower than at the Palais Thermal – Badepalast and the outdoor pools at Vital Therme are a nice place to float relax or sun. There is also an eating area set up with tables and there is a nice upscale grocery store where the bus drops you off where you can pick up freshly made deli salads for lunch and water which is important to purchase because the spa only has bottled water to drink that you purchase from a machine which runs out.

Both spas are found in the town of Bad Wildbad which is just a short bus and train ride or just bus ride (depending on the time of day you go) away from the Klein guesthouse in Dobel.

The town of Bad Wildbad is incredibly charming and quaint. The views of the mountains in Bad Wildbad are worth the trip alone. You can also take a tram up the mountainside in Bad Wildbad and there are hiking trails and a restaurant at the top with of course more good views. We have yet to take the tram up the mountain but if I have time before I leave for the USA I would like to.
